Palmetto Fur The Season 1 Artist Of Honor
Palmetto Fur the Season is honored to have Eddie Bear of Easley, South Carolina, as our Artist of Honor
Eddie learned how to perform while working as a theme park mascot, and now performs at charity events as a costumed character and is the mascot for local venues.
He has been a fursuit maker since 2010, and has received several awards competing in cosplay contests, including master level, best of show, and best of show for craftsmanship.
He also teaches classes on how to clean and repair fursuits at several fur conventions, and was GoH at Fangcon 2017 and Bewhiskered 2021.

South Carolina Furry Fun
Palmetto Fur The Season is a quarterly event hosted every 3 months, aka every season. To create a fun and safe space with unique meeting experiences to unite the furry fandom through professionally organized events. Palmetto Fur The Season is also a launching point for bringing an even bigger event to the Palmetto State. Palmetto Fur The Season 1 Q&A
Are minors allowed at this event?, Yes! But not after 8 pm!
For Palmetto Fur The Season 1 minors over the age of 13+ are allowed, however must have a registered parent or guardian present at all times. Any Individuals aged 16 or 17 attending events must have a parent or guardian present at all times, OR to come alone, you must provide a printed out signed consent form(downloadable here). All minors will receive a specialty minor badge. Due to our venue serving alcohol, we have an agreement with the venue that Palmetto Fur the Season 1 will go 18+ after 8 pm. Though this may be disappointing due to the shortened time, minors do get discounted attendance.
What events will be at Palmetto Fur The Season?
There will be plenty for attendees to do at all times. Pinky's Revenge offers hours of arcade and general entertainment for all guests. Pinky's is very excited to have us and has been nothing but sweet to our organization, so let's give them a good, memorable, fun furry time! Our full entertainment and lounge stage schedule is to be announced. If you where given a stage for 30-60 minutes... what would YOU do with that time? are you doing comedy? are you doing a panel? are you playing music? are you complaining about your job? applications are open! apply here, We will also have a mini dealers' den and artist alley. Dealers and Artist apps open August 10th and close September 1st.
Can I register at the door?
Sadly, due to our venue contract, we can not take payment for registration at the door; all registration must be made in advance!
What's Different about Palmetto Fur The Season 0 & 1?
We learned a lot during Palmetto Fur The Season 0! What went well, what attendees liked, and didn’t like. Staff positions we need that we never thought we needed. Palmetto Fur The Season is improving and adapting at every chance it gets! PFTS1 has an amazing venue, trust us, tons more stuff to do! If you liked PFTS0, we are excited to show you PFTS1! We will also have a mini dealers' den and artist alley with an opportunity to support south-eastern artists.
How did Palmetto Fur The Season come to be?
After vending at multiple local anime and comic conventions in the state, Peachylightz and BajaTheWerewolf noticed the number of furries in attendance at these events and how many flocked to their furry booth. A lot of these individuals were shocked to see other furries, completely unaware of how big a furry community there was in their backyard. For the most part, due to the lack of organized events in South Carolina, Palmetto Fur The Season was born to change that.
